Have you ever tracked how much time you spend on electronic devices daily?  How much time do you spend looking at a computer screen, phone, television, tablet, etc.?  How much time do your family members spend on all these gadgets that are supposed to make our lives easier but often bring us more stress?  For much of this past July, I decided to unplug from the digital world for a while.  It wasn't something I planned, it wasn't based on stress or anything particularly negative - I just felt this urge to take a break.  As a social media influencer, I've learned that occasionally it's ok to take a step back from the digital world.  I would also encourage all of you to take a break and "unplug" from time to time.  You don't have to wait until vacation or until you feel overwhelmed to take a step back.  Sometimes, it's good to unplug just because you can.  Don't feel guilty about it - trust me, you're probably not missing anything.  Take time to focus on yourself and the natural beauty of life itself.  You won't be disappointed!

XOXO - Tan

Keep it simple, cute, and comfortable while unplugging with these simple wardrobe basics.

  • Hello,

My order has been received I just wanted to say thank you. I love your body butters and my husband and I love when you and Eric have your talks.

We both watch them then talk about them together. Something’s we agree with some we don’t, but they’re great for conversations.

We love to see our people intelligently conversing. Especially, a black married couple.

We will be celebrating our 35th wedding anniversary in 2 weeks.

Keep loving, listening to and respecting each other.

    Thanks again,

Here are some of our favorite places to unplug and enjoy nature in our home state of Georgia USA.  If you live in Georgia, or plan on visiting - you should definitely check out these must-see locations for relaxation!

Piedmont Park is the heart of Atlanta.  It's a great place to exercise, ride a bike, go swimming, play tennis or just relax.  It features beautiful views of the Atlanta skyline and wonderful festivals year-round.
Adjacent to Piedmont Park are the Atlanta Botanical Gardens - a world class urban garden with scenic elevated garden trails, lush jungle greenhouses, exotic plants and even a dedicated children's garden.  It features lots of quiet, tucked away corners for meditation and relaxation.
Nestled in 3200 acres of natural beauty, Stone Mountain Park features outdoor recreational activities, seasonal family-friendly attractions, and a variety of on-site lodging options so you can stay where you play! Only minutes from downtown Atlanta, it features breathtaking natural areas, family-friendly park attractions, seasonal festivals, and special events.  It's also a great place to get in a natural workout by hiking up or around the mountain.
Tybee Island has been a nostalgic getaway since the late 1800s. Home to a close-knit community, and wide clean beaches with warm and gentle waves, Tybee Island, is the ideal escape for summer, providing a healthy dose of sand, sun and seaside bliss.
Northeast of Atlanta, Georgia, on the cusp of the North Georgia Mountains, sits Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge. A nature lover’s wonderland, it’s only 8 miles from the Appalachian Trail and within the Chattahoochee National Forest. The park is named after its most treasured feature, Amicalola Falls – a magnificent 729-foot waterfall that’s the third-highest cascading waterfall east of the Mississippi River.

Some of our favorite places to unplug that are just a drive or short flight away...

Amicalola Falls State Park & Lodge in Georgia is awesome, but of course, the OG waterfall destination is Niagara Falls Canada.  If you can make the trip, definitely put a visit to this natural wonder on your bucket list! You won't be disappointed.  The Canadian side is particularly beautiful and just a short drive from the glamorous city of Toronto.
Speaking of Toronto, similar to Piedmont Park in AtlantaCentre Island Toronto is another great example of a natural urban oasis in the middle of a bustling city.
When people think of a trip to Vegas, they often picture gambling, great food, or a great show.  But don't forget, Las Vegas also has a lot of natural beauty like Redrock Canyon. There's something spiritual about desert locations like these to help you unplug and de-stress!
There is no better way to indulge in a little bit of self-care than travel and becoming "one" with nature. Our new favorite spot for "unplugged" natural adventures and relaxation is XCaret Hotel and the XCaret Parks and Experiences in Quintana Roo (Cancun, Playa del Carmen and Tulum), Mexico.
It's The Grand Canyon!! Not much else needs to be said - it speaks for itself.  Make sure it's on your bucket list!
Yosemite National Park is another natural wonder that every American should try to visit. First protected in 1864, Yosemite National Park is best known for its waterfalls, but within its nearly 1,200 square miles, you can find deep valleys, grand meadows, ancient giant sequoias, a vast wilderness area, and much more.
