Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place

Love is a beautiful thing...but there is something about Black Love that is special. Maybe it's because throughout recent history it has been attacked, discouraged and downplayed. Maybe it's because for years it has been shunned in mainstream media, advertising and entertainment. Or maybe it's just because it is so good for the soul. On my YouTube channel, my husband Erik and I have always tried to show a positive example of what a strong Black union can look like. After 20 years of marriage, we've learned that all marriages have challenges; but, if you can stick together and respect each other through those challenges, marriage can be very fulfilling. And while Black Marriages do Matter, Black Love is not just about love between spouses. It is about love of yourself, your culture and your heritage. Love your skin tone, your kinky hair and your curves! Love regardless of someone's sexual orientation, and don't judge others who experience love differently from you. Life is too short to experience anything else!
