Being a MOM has always been a (rewarding) challenge. However, I can't think of a time in recent history where motherhood has been this challenging! We now have children (and husbands
) at home full time and are trying to balance education, limited social activities, cancelled events, AND social distancing - while maintaining sanity in our households. On top of that, So many moms also work in the healthcare industry and in essential services. Finally, we can't forget the single mothers and the grandmothers, aunts, cousins, etc. that act as surrogate moms. As a mom, wife, former educator and former home-schooler myself, I can certainly appreciate the struggles many of us are faced with. That's why I know this upcoming Mother's Day will be very special to us all. I pray that in May we will start to see society open back up and hope that we can all give moms the thanks they deserve - with less social restrictions in place. In the meantime, I want to send all of my fellow moms my appreciation and love for holding down the family unit in these times of chaos and uncertainty. XOXO - Tan
