Self care is so important in these stressful times. Whether it's going on vacation, taking time to pamper yourself, getting some "retail therapy", or celebrating a birthday, it is so vital that we all take time out of each day to pamper ourselves. There's nothing like a fresh hairstyle, getting your nails done, or taking a long, hot bubble bath to feel renewed and revitalized. While we all like to look and feel beautiful, self-care should be more than just skin deep. When we take time to "stop and smell the roses" and relax, it gives us an opportunity to wind down, mediate, get in-touch with our spirituality and reflect on all things we are thankful for. I am a firm believer that if we feel good on the inside, it definitely reflects on our outward appearance. One of the questions I'm often asked is how I stay youthful looking and vibrant over 40. Besides having a pretty intensive skin care routine and exercise regimen, I also try to lead a thoughtful and prayerful lifestyle - free from negativity. And while it is impossible to eliminate all negativity from our lives, the more we can eliminate, the more gorgeous we will feel - both inside and out!
