EMAIL FEEDBACK
WE LOVE GETTING EMAILS FROM OUR SATISFIED CUSTOMERS!

  • Hi Tan,
I pray that all is well. I received the Gucci messenger bag and it’s fabulous for my sweet son supply bag. He has many needs and that bag is a blessing. On another subject…I’m in need of more of the cucumber match tea. I didn’t see it on your site so is this one that you discontinued? It smells so light and fresh. I’m one that can’t wear fragrance due to my sweet son allergies and the body butter is so delightful.

Enjoy your week! Blessings beautiful ❤️🙏🏼

VERSUS - WHO GETS YOUR SPEND?

LOWES VS. HOME DEPOT

If you're a homeowner, you probably spend more time than you'd like at the hardware store. Do it yourself projects can save a lot of money if you know how to skillfully navigate the isles of your local hardware store. Lowes is great for simple “weekend handyman” projects, and even for purchasing some basic décor and organization pieces for the home. The Lowes Credit Card also offers 5% off on purchases and financing on purchases above a specific price.

Let’s face it – Lowes is great, but Home Depot is where the pros go. If you’re working on a larger home improvement or outdoor project, Home Depot is probably your best bet. We also find that Home Depot offers a better selection of power tools and lawn equipment.  It even has a superior garden center over Lowes. However, unlike Lowes, the Home Depot Credit Card does not offer 5% off on purchases. Like Lowes, it does offer financing of purchases above a certain amount and many other benefits worth checking out.  If you're a homeowner, having a Lowes or Home Depot credit card is almost a must-have for those last minute home repair emergencies and weekend projects.  Just remember to try to pay your balance every month!

Winner – HOME DEPOT.
Lowes is great for a quick hardware store run, but if you need to get into the "weeds" (pun intended) of a larger outdoor or home improvement project, Home Depot is the clear winner.

KROGER VS. PUBLIX

In our experience, Publix grocery stores tend to be a bit nicer and provide an overall better shopping experience than Kroger.  Publix also has often has great buy-one, get one free sales.  However, Kroger has a much larger selection of inexpensive store brand products and sends out awesome money saving coupons pretty frequently - make sure you sign up for your Kroger Plus Card and online account to get all the digital coupons and gas savings they offer.  Yes, Kroger even offers discounts on gas - and we all know how expensive gas is these days!

Winner – KROGER. Sure, Publix tends to provide a more consistent shopping experience, but there are plenty of nice, well lit, well stocked Kroger stores.  Honestly, compared to the prices at Whole Foods or Trader Joes, you'll come out spending less money at both Kroger and Publix, but Kroger has a slight edge here.

TJ MAXX VS. MARSHALLS

T.J. Maxx and Marshalls belong to the same parent company, so what's the difference between them? Both of these stores are staples for the budget conscious fashionista and décor junkie.  However, Marshalls is more of a shoe lover's mecca, and T.J. Maxx is more fashionista-friendly.

Winner – MARSHALLS.. Marshalls only has a very slight edge here with it's wider selection of shoes, menswear, and home goods, but you can't lose in either store!

TARGET VS. WAL-MART

Okay, so some people might say that this isn’t even a contest. OF COURSE Target is superior to Wal-Mart! But hear us out on this one! Let’s face it, you really can’t beat Wal-Mart deals. Yes, Target offers the better shopping experience, but we’ve found that if you go to Wal-Mart during “off hours” (i.e. early mornings, weekdays), it can actually be a very pleasurable shopping experience.

One new way we’ve found to make Target almost as affordable as Wal-Mart – join the Target Circle Rewards Program. The benefits really do add up! Just make sure you’re diligent about downloading the Target Circle app, checking for deals in the app, and entering your Target Circle membership phone number when you check out.

Winner – 🎯TARGET. Come on, who were we fooling? But just remember to download the Target Circle app!  After all, you know you're going to blow your budget once you step into Target anyway.  You might as well earn some discounts while you do it!

  FRAGRANCE SPEND

Speaking of Target, have you checked out their Fine'ry line of fragrances?  They're a great way to enjoy a luxury scent, without the luxury price tag.

 FASHION SPEND

Saving money on clothes is probably one of the easiest ways we can reduce our spend.  Where can you find great clothes for less?  Amazon, Target, Wal-Mart, Marshall's, Ross, TJMaxx, thrifting and of course, TheUnFrumpyMommyStore!

AMAZON FOR THE WIN

Target, Wal-Mart, Lowes, Home Depot, TJ Maxx, etc. are great.  But let's face it, nobody really beats Amazon when you're trying to find a deal.  Check out the UnFrumpyMommy's Amazon Store for some of her favorite budget friendly Amazon home, fashion, and cosmetic finds.
