In the June Newsletter I asked "What is confidence?". In this month's newsletter I wanted to pose the question "What is luxury?".  The words "luxe" and "luxury" are used a lot these days - especially on social media.  Luxe purses, luxury houses, luxury accommodations, luxe travel, luxe decor  - it's all highlighted, packaged and sold by influencers and corporations alike.  In this newsletter, I'll be sharing some of my luxe faves, BUT I also want to clearly state that superficial luxuries do not define me.  For me, the greatest luxuries of all are faith, good health, great experiences and great relationships.  These are all things that we often take for granted, but that can be lost in the blink of an eye.  There's nothing wrong with wanting nice things and being rewarded for our hard work, but it's important to keep materialism in the proper perspective.  Having material possessions doesn't make you or your life better than anyone else's.  You should enjoy luxuries in life because of the quality, care and craftmanship that (usually) comes with luxe goods / services and not to prove your superiority to others.  For example, I never sell my classic designer handbags because they were purchased as timeless, high quality pieces, not because they were trendy.  Overall, I've found that if I focus on a set of higher goals versus being "trendy" and "having more than everyone else", my life is all the richer for it...
